The Jacksonville Sharks have re-signed wide receiver Jeron Harvey. He is the team’s all-time leader in receptions (495), receiving yards (5,495) and touchdowns (131).
He had been with the Sharks from their first season in 2010 up until 2015. He recorded over 100 receptions during the 2012 (101) and 2013 (146) seasons. In 2011, he caught the game-winning touchdown in ArenaBowl XXIV as time expired to defeat the Arizona Rattlers and win the title.
Before joining the Sharks in 2010, he spent time with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. He was an undrafted free agent and remained with the team until Aug. 28, 2008, when he was released.
Harvey took a year off from football in 2016 before playing with the Monterrey Steel in the National Arena League (NAL) and Florida Tarpons in the now defunct Arena Pro Football (APF).
The Sharks joined the NAL for their inaugural season in 2017 after leaving the Arena Football League. They would finish the season with one loss and defeat the Columbus Lions to win the inaugural NAL title. Their run at a repeat begins on April 7 when they visit the expansion team Carolina Cobras in Greensboro, NC.
