Jersey Flight Join American Arena League

The Jersey Flight announced they are joining the American Arena League on Friday. This is exciting news for the AAL, giving other teams towards the northern neck of the league, like Vermont Bucks, Rochester Kings, Glen Falls Gladiators, and Richmond Roughriders closer travel.

Fans in Trenton, NJ should look forward to renewing a rivalry that was left off in the Professional Indoor Football League back in 2015. The Richmond Raiders and Trenton Freedom was some of best games that league had to offer back than. The games where always intense and went down to the last seconds to decide a winner. Now they can renew it in a whole new way, with a new league and brand new teams.

The Jersey Flight are lead by head coach Jake Grande. So far the Flight have signed wide receiver  Shamar Graves from Rutgers. Coach Grande will have to build his roster to now compete with a new competitive league the AAL.

In the last few weeks, the Richmond Roughriders, Florida Tarpons and especially the Atlanta Havoc have been signing well known standout arena football veterans. Front top to bottom, every team in the American Arena League are stacking up with a lot of talent.

The Flight were recently suppose to join the National Arena League, but the NAL announced that neither Monterey Steel nor Jersey Flight met obligations to play in the league in 2018.
