The Carolina Cobras have added another offensive weapon. This time it’s the wide receiver Tyrell Goodman. The six-foot-two 213 pound wide receiver from Yonkers, NY, played his rookie year with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks of the IFL after attending the University of Akron. He played in six games as a quarterback, wide receiver, and kick returner for the Zips.
Goodman was eager to express his passion on coming to Greensboro. “I’m very excited to join the cobras,it’s a blessing to join such a great organization in a great city with great coaching staff,” he told Inside the Arena.
During his time at Akron, Goodman recorded 45 receptions for 475 yards and six touchdowns as a wide receiver.
Goodman went on to emphasize what his expectations would be and what it meant to play this season.
“I’m excited to help lead this team to a championship and I’m going to give everything in me to accomplish that mission,” he said. “My little cousin Quan passed away recently and a great woman, Ms. Pearl passed away recently too and I’m dedicating this season to them in their honor.”
