High Country Grizzlies Announce Move from National Arena League to American Arena League

The High Country Grizzlies announced that they will be moving from the National Arena League to the American Arena League on Wednesday morning. That leaves the National Arena League with just six teams.

High Country participated in the first ever season of the NAL. They got off to a hot start under quarterback Stephen Panasuk, but after their hot start, things didn’t work out. High Country wouldn’t qualify for either of the two postseason games.

They will now be joining the American Arena League in its inaugural season. There has been no word on which players, if any, from last year’s team will join the team in their move to the new league.

With the Grizzlies moving to the AAL, the new arena league is now up to 11 teams. They are now one of three teams from North Carolina to join the AAL (Triangle Torch, Cape Fear Heroes).

There has been no timetable for when the American Arena League swill release their first ever schedule or when they will begin play.
