The Washington Valor (2-10) ended a 10-game losing streak by beating the only team they have beaten this season: the Baltimore Brigade (4-8). A last second Hail Mary gave Washington a 34-30 win at the Verizon Center on Saturday night.
The Valor jumped out of the gate when T.T. Toliver caught a touchdown pass to make it 7-0, and that was answered by Baltimore to even the score at 7-7. Washington would answer with another touchdown from Toliver, only for Baltimore to respond with one of their own. From there, the two teams went back and forth down the field, trading touchdown for touchdown, setting up a dramatic finish.
With under 45 seconds left, the Brigade kicked a field goal, putting them up 30-28. That left just enough time for Washington to go down and try to end three months of losing and suffering. With only nine seconds left, Sean Brackett hit Toliver for a touchdown, giving the Valor only their second win in what has been a disappointing season.
