In a much anticipated rematch, the Baltimore Brigade defeated the Washington Valor 51-41 on Friday night.
The Brigade would strike first when Shane Carden found Reggie Gray for a touchdown and would lead 14-7 after the first quarter. The Valor cut the lead to one on a Greg Carr touchdown, but the extra point was no good.
The Brigade scored on their next drive when Carden found Reggie Gray for a touchdown.
However, the extra point was missed, so it remained a one-score game. Washington tied the game with a touchdown from Will Corbin. The two teams went back and forth and Baltimore led 34-27 at halftime.
It would prove big as the Brigade held on to a 34-27 lead at halftime. It would be enough as a quiet second half on both sides led to a 51-41 Brigade win.
After opening the season with a win over Baltimore, the Valor have not won since and are 1-8. And that streak could reach 10 because they visit the Tampa Bay Storm and Philadelphia Soul in their next two games.
