Wide receiver Anthony “Tiger” Jones has announced that he is retiring. He last played with the Jacksonville Sharks. He also played with the Philadelphia Soul, Georgia Force, Milwaukee Iron and Dallas Vigalanties.
In 2016, Jones finished in the top 10 in receiving. He caught 105 passes for 1218 yards and 18 touchdowns. Jones shared the spotlight in Jacksonville with wide receiver Joe Hills. Hills is now a member of the Tampa Bay Storm.
Jones began his football career with the Washington Redskins in the NFL in 2005. He finishes his arena football career with 1,042 receptions for 14,338 yards and 286 touchdowns. He also finishes with eight rushing touchdowns.
The Sharks are no longer a team playing in the Arena Football League. They are now a team in the National Arena League. The NAL will begin its inaurgual season on March 17.
The Arena Football League will begin play of their 30th season on April 7. There are only five teams that will play.
