The Washington Valor continue to make signing after signing in the free agency period. According to the Arena Football League, the Valor signed linebacker Jimmy Gordon Friday afternoon. Gordon is entering his third year in the league, playing with the Jacksonville Sharks , Tampa Bay Storm, and now Washington.
This acquisition completes the trilogy of signings of former Storm players. In the last week alone, Washington have been assigned defensive lineman Everett Dawkins, wide receiver T.T. Toliver, and added Gordon earlier today.
Gordon and Dawkins combined for four sacks last season for Tampa Bay, both finishing second on the team in that department. Toliver is considered to be one of, if not the best, wide receivers in the entire Arena Football League. These three find themselves playing alongside each other again, only this time under head coach Dean Cokinos.
The Valor kick off their season on Friday April 7 against another new face in the league, the still unnamed Baltimore franchise, at the Verizon Center at 7 p.m. ET.
