The Arizona Rattlers, a team many have called the Dallas Cowboys of the AFL, are on the cusp of leaving the only league they have ever played in for the IFL.
SWX’s Sam Adams is reporting that the Rattlers have notified the AFL that they are indeed leaving, and that the franchise is in the final phase of the application process. He adds that the paperwork could be finalized and approved by tomorrow.
This news comes one day after the Orlando Predators folded, Jacksonville announced it would move to another league, and flurries of reports stated that LA and Arizona would either fold or move to other leagues.
The Rattlers have played all 24 years of their history in the AFL and have a very rich history. They have played in 10 ArenaBowls, winning five and won three straight from 2012 to 2014.
