The first open tryout of the offseason for the Arena Football League’s Orlando Predators will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Thunder Field, 400 S Rio Grande Ave in Orlando, FL.
The Predators have signed numerous players from the tryouts, including defensive back Nick Taylor. Taylor recorded 86 tackles and four interceptions in 2015 before signing a contract with the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League before the 2016 season.
Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash, shuttle run, and drills based on position. Players must come ready to play with proper workout attire and footwear as the tryout will be on grass. This tryout will consistent of all non-contact drills (no helmets or pads). All tryout participants will also receive an Orlando Predators workout t-shirt.
The Predators are looking to evaluate all positions except kickers. The Predators coaching staff will be present to evaluate the talent including head Coach Rob Keefe and general manager of Football Operations Michael DiJulio.
Those who are interested must be older than 18 with completed high school eligibility, and sign a medical waiver. Participants can pre-register by Oct. 21 for $60 or $80 the day of the tryout starting at 9 a.m. ET.
