6. Tampa Bay Storm

Rightfully so, the Storm finish the regular as the worst team in the league. They didn’t play like a 2-14 team, but their record and inability to finish games strong has them at the bottom of our list.

5. Portland Steel

The same can be said for the Steel as it has been for the Storm. The Steel have played awful for a majority of the season. They did, however, make a late season run, winning (two/three) of their last four games.

4. Jacksonville Sharks

The Sharks have struggled more than just about any team this season. They would be on top of the world at one point in a game, then at rock bottom by the end of it.

3. Los Angeles KISS

The 2016 season has been the best for the KISS in franchise history. After winning just four games in their first two seasons, they will now host their first playoff game.

2. Orlando Predators

The Predators had avoided losing the #1 overall seed by only losing to the Arizona Rattlers by 17 points in their Week 16 meeting as opposed to the 19 points the Rattlers needed to win by to take over the #1 overall seed. However, the Predators were unable to win the seed due to the outcome of their regular season finale against our top team on this list.

1. Philadelphia Soul

The Soul aren’t the #1 overall seed in the Arena Football League, but they did clinch the American Conference regular season title. This means that they will host the American Conference Championship game against the Predators or Sharks if they win their opening playoff game against the Storm next Sunday.
