6. Tampa Bay Storm
They may have beaten the Steel on Saturday, but the Storm did blow a 28-6 lead and almost the game. That has been the story of the season for the Storm. They can not finish properly at all.
5. Portland Steel
The Steel have played much better football recently than they did before the universal bye week. It’s not clear what changed, but something in the Portland organization has changed, and now the Steel have won two of their last three games and lost by only one to the Storm by one point.
4. Jacksonville Sharks
The Sharks got a new head coach and won their last game against the KISS. Still, it has been a long season for Jacksonville. They are currently at a 6-9 record and have been eliminated from any chance of hosting a playoff game.
3. Los Angeles KISS
The KISS have had their best season in franchise history, even if they have a 7-8 record. They have done well most of the season. A big part of that is wide receiver Donovan Morgan, who will retire at the end of the season.
2. Cleveland Gladiators
The Cleveland Gladiators have been one of the best overall teams in the AFL this season. They have a great quarterback in Arvell Nelson, two great wide reviewers in Quentin Sims and Collin Taylor and a great defense. While it will take some work, the Gladiators still have a chance to host a playoff game.
1. Arizona Rattlers
The Rattlers have shown once again this season why they have won three of the last four ArenaBowls. Quarterback Nick Davila has thrown for 104 touchdowns, which leads the league, and the Rattlers have a chance to clinch the #1 overall seed next weekend.
