Today, the Jacksonville Sharks announced an additional fan event to go along with Christmas in July for the home game against the Los Angeles KISS on Saturday, July 23.
Pokémon GO, an app that allows players to walk around their area in the search of different monsters to catch and train, has become a phenomenon since its release on July 6. To add some extra flair to Christmas in July, the Sharks are inviting trainers from all corners to come to Sea Best Field to continue their hunt.
First, fans outside the arena from 5-7 p.m. can search for Pokémon amongst the usual pregame festivities, as the Sharks will activate lures to attract Pokémon before kickoff. From 6-9 p.m, the hunt goes inside. As the Sharks and KISS do battle on the field, lures will be activated inside the arena for Pokémon to come for the most eager of trainers to catch.
