Arena Football League Orlando Predators

Why the Predators Will Win the #1 Seed

The Orlando Predators are still in sole possession of the top seed in the Arena Football League despite last night’s 62-45 loss to the Arizona Rattlers.

Regardless of the loss, Orlando is in perfect position for a deep postseason run. The Predators have a nicely placed bye week next week before closing out the season at home against the Philadelphia Soul (12-3) on July 30.

Orlando (12-3) already knows they are playoff bound, and two weeks to formulate a game plan to defeat Philadelphia will help them to clinch the number one seed. With the number one seed, they would be guaranteed home field advantage all the way to ArenaBowl XXIX.

Orlando will have to play a strong game to close out the season. The Soul can lose by eight points to jump Orlando in the standings and claim the first seed.

However, veteran quarterback Bernard Morris has been in the spot before. During his AFL career, he has over 12,000 career passing yards, 250 TD passes and appearances in conference title games. Plus Orlando his hometown, Orlando is in a great position to defeat the Soul.
