The Tampa Bay Storm will host the Philadelphia Soul at the Amalie Arena in Tampa on Saturday afternoon. The game, originally scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. ET, will now kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game will also be nationally televised on ESPN2.
The last time these two teams met, the Storm got out to a shocking 10-0 lead. Unfortunately for them, that was just about all they did. The Soul would go on to outscored the Storm in that game, 47-7 the rest of the way.
Things have not gotten easier for Tampa, either. In fact, things got so bad in their last game against the Los Angeles KISS, quarterback Jason Boltus was benched for Adam Kennedy, who was benched for Boltus earlier in the season.
As for the Soul, while they have looked in the face of a couple losses, they don’t have much to lose the rest of the season. In fact, with a win over Tampa on Saturday and an Orlando Predators win over the Arizona Rattlers on Monday night, the Soul could jump into the two seed in the latest Arena Football League playoff rankings.
But first, they must beat the Storm, who are currently the worst team in the league statistically.
